Friends, the review we are going to give you about this mobile phone is based on our own testing and is a trusted review. You can read all the details about it below.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro series is here, and today we have the Redmi Note 15 Pro. We’ll be talking about it today. How is this device overall? Does it justify its price? And how is it carrying forward the legacy of previous Redmi Note phones? First, if I start with the phone’s design, it’s almost similar to the Pro series we saw last year.
The design language hasn’t changed much. But the entire build is made of polycarbonate. And it has a unique design. The weight is around 210 grams, and the thickness is under 8 mm. So it’s not very slim, nor is it very light. But why is that? Because here you get a very large battery size. Now, the overall structure of the phone is very solid.
The internal components have been made quite robust, and you get Gorilla Glass 2 on the front, and it has a flat panel. So overall, this makes the device very rigid. We dropped the phone several times, and still, there were no problems with the phone. So this is quite good if you happen to drop your phone a lot.
This phone gives you a very solid and reassuring feel. And what else is good about it? You get stereo speakers, and they get very loud. There’s a slight lack of bass, but overall, the speakers are quite good for this price. One thing that wasn’t so good was the haptics; they could have been better. But the in-display fingerprint sensor is quite fast; there are no problems there. You also get an IR sensor. And the best part is that you get all the IP ratings that are standard in mobile phones these days.
You get ratings of up to 66, 68, 69, and 69. But overall, I wouldn’t call the phone’s design very premium. But yes, this phone will give you a very solid feel. Coming to the next positive aspect of the phone, it’s the display. Here you get a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED panel. And as I mentioned, it’s a flat panel. But what’s the good thing? You’ll see that the bezels are quite thin, and the overall display quality is quite good. It’s easily visible outdoors. It can reach a peak brightness of 3200 nits, and you’ll enjoy watching any content on it. It has deep blacks, and you also get Dolby Vision support, and it’s HDR10 certified.
So overall, Redmi has done a pretty good job in terms of the display. You won’t have many complaints here. And there aren’t many complaints about anything else either. That’s the phone’s performance. Now, here you get the Dimensity 7400 processor, which we’ve started seeing quite often in this price range lately. Just one thing you might find slightly disappointing is that the storage type is UFS 2.2. If it were UFS 3.1, you would experience even smoother operation.
There’s no lag as such. Everything opens quite smoothly. But if you open the camera or play BGMI, and then come back to the home screen, you’ll notice the animation is slightly slow. I think that could be improved. Now, one thing I found a little lacking in the phone is that it’s running on Android 15.
You’ll get plenty of updates, 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches. But it would have been even better if it ran on Android 16. You’ll get extra features, and you’ll also receive notifications from them. So you’ll have to keep these things in mind. We tested gaming on this device for quite a long time, and we didn’t encounter any heating issues. That’s a really good thing. But obviously, you won’t be able to play at the absolute highest gaming settings because the chipset isn’t that powerful. You can also see the multiple benchmark scores here to see how it performs overall. If I talk about the storage variants, you’ll get 8/128 and 8/256.
The one we have is the 8/256 variant. Now let’s talk about the camera because there’s a big claim here that you get a 200MP Samsung camera. It’s a third-generation sensor, so what’s the quality like? Now, we clicked multiple images here, both in daylight and low light. And overall, I think the camera could be a bit better.
The hardware is quite good, but I think the software needs some improvement. You don’t get very good details here, and the images don’t come out as vibrant. We’ve seen that smartphones in this price segment take quite good pictures. Even with such good hardware, I think the software needs more work. Here, you’ll get a 2x option in portrait mode.
I would say the quality is decent, but it doesn’t perform very well in low light either. As you can see, the details aren’t very good. You also see some noise.
